Our Child Safeguarding Policy

GDPR Ethics and data protection

The EuroCrime team carries out its research, training and consulting activities with a strong focus on Ethics. Ethics values and governing rules are respected and applied in every phase of our activity and by each member of our team, including temporary members and external partners.

EuroCrime applies and fully support the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity by ALLEA. ALLEA, founded in 1994, is the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, representing more than 50 academies from over 40 EU and non-EU countries.

The Code of Conduct is the fundamental guide for Research Ethics, and can be downloaded here

The members of our staff have a relevant background in Ethics, both by a legal and administrative viewpoint, and some of them are also included in the EU Commission Rooster of Independent External Ethics Experts. As such, they are involved in the Ethics check and assessment of proposal submitted for funding and of approved project under different EU programmes and grant schemes, since the 7th Framework Programme financial period.

They are also external Ethics experts for other public and private institutions, as the Irish Research Council, and for many companies and business actors.
