EuroCrime offers numerous training courses, specifically aimed at professionals in the different sectors.
Our courses are planned with flexible schedules and training programs, in order to adapt to the needs and requests of participants.
Our staff is available to organize lessons both remotely and during weekends or in full-immersion mode, in order to allow participants to coordinate training activities with their work and professional needs.
Training tools and materials in electronic format are provided to participants, who are organised into small groups in order to be better followed by our team of expert trainers.
We are fully available to customize our trainings to meet the needs of the participants and the organizations, bodies and companies from which they come. Furthermore, beyond the already scheduled and planned courses, the EuroCrime team is available to organize "on demand" trainings on topics related to our area of expertise.
Our training courses
Dr. Silvia Ciotti
Criminologist, and senior researcher, trainer and consultant on security matters. Dr. Ciotti is a professor of Ethics in Disaster Management at the DAMAGE international master’s degree at the Ecole des Mines d’Ales University, France. She is the author of numerous scientific publications internationally, and has participated as a keynote speaker in numerous international seminars and conferences. She is a member of the American and European Societies of Criminology and of the Italian National Data Protection Association. She is an expert in FACS methodology – non-verbal communication and body language. Her main areas of interest, in which she has more than 20 years of experience, are: criminology; victimology; ethics in research and innovation; GDPR; privacy and data protection; cybersecurity; cybercrime and Darkand Deep Web; minors and the Web; Artificial Intelligence (AI); ethics in Autonomous and Intelligent Systems and in Quantum Computing; piracy and maritime terrorism; serial crimes and Lone Wolf; Problem-solving Crime Analysis; urban security and crime prevention; crime, intelligence and strategic risk mapping; strategic analysis and security planning; transnational organized crime and terrorism; protection of cultural heritage.
Since 2006 she has been Evaluator and Reviewer of project proposals and funded projects for the European Commission, and has carried out the activity of Evaluator and Reviewer for hundreds of projects within the various European funding programs, such as the Seventh Framework Programme, Horizon2020, Horizon Europe, Fast Track to Innovation, Marie Skłodowska Curie and the programs and grants of the European Research Council. Currently, Dr. Ciotti is also an Ethics Evaluator and Reviewer in numerous European Union funding programs.
Dr. Ciotti is currently CEO of the EuroCrime Think Tank, and a senior researcher, trainer and consultant in the fields of security and European funding for research, innovation and development.
LANGUAGE
All our courses are available in Italian and English. The training material is also available in both Italian and English.
LOCATION
Our courses are offered both online, through various platforms and with the support of various e-learning tools, and in person, at our offices located nearby Florence. Upon request, they can also be carried out at the premises made available by the organisations, bodies or companies requesting the courses.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
At the end of each training course, EuroCrime will issue participants a certificate of participation. This certificate will be issued only to participants who have followed at least 70% of the course. The assignment of credits can be organized and guaranteed on a case-by-case basis, on the basis of agreements made in advance with the organisations/bodies requesting the training.
LECTURERS
In addition to Dr. Ciotti, other expert trainers from the EuroCrime team are involved on a case-by-case basis based on the subject of the training. Their names and CVs are in any case provided to participants before the course takes place.
