The collaboration program in the training field between EuroCrime and Psychology in Court continues with the new course “Neutral Space Operator. How to manage protected encounters”. The training course targets psychologists, professional educators, social workers and graduates/undergraduates in these disciplines. The course introduces theoretical and practical elements of knowledge on the Neutral Space service, as an environment suitable for facilitated and protected meetings, intended as a relational context useful for the work of both the experts of the psychological and legal area and the professionals operating or wishing to operate in the field of the service. The course aims to provide the specific basic knowledge useful to work in a composite sector such as that of Neutral Space allowing to contextualize psychological interpretative and operational models aimed at managing family encounters and supporting the parenthood in this area. The training will be provided by Dr. Paolo Di Mattia, psychologist specialized in Parental Coordination, Head of the Neutral Space of Prato and Honorary Juvenile Judge at the Juvenile Section of the Court of Appeal of Florence. Since 2000 he has been working on services and projects for children exposed to unfavorable childhood experiences, at risk or victims of abuse and mistreatment.
The course will be held on the Psychology in Court Zoom platform in synchronous FAD mode with live session on Friday 26 January 2024 – 3:00-7:00 PM. Afterwards, the recording of the course will be available on demand for 12 months. At the end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to download the certificate of participation.
