Target

Project Managers and Planners, Area Managers and Assistants, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Researchers and all those subjects interested or involved in the designing and drafting of project proposals for the participation in European, national or local calls for proposals.

Objectives

The aim of this training course is to analyze the different European funding instruments: from the ones directly managed by the European Commission (as Horizon Europe), to those managed by national authorities (as the Structural Funds and the European Social Fund).
Details and information will be given about the different types of European calls for proposals, their nature and relevance, the requirements for a successfull application and the timing of the different calls (as the opening and closing schedule). Attendees will receive information about practical tools for the analysis of different calls for proposals (as dedicated websites), with a special focus on European institutions in charge of the distribution of funds. The trainees will also receive the latest news about European policies and strategies in the field of European funding.

Part II - 1 day

– The content and structure of an European call and the requested information
– The ‘life’ of an European project (Project Cycle). Fundamental principles
– European project planning. Drafting the proposal
– The characteristics of an European project. The beneficiaries of the project
– Presentation of the Funding and Tenders Portal of the European Commission and of the main websites relevant for European planning and calls research
– The European procurement
– Practical activity & exercises

Training method

The workshop can be delivered both remotely/on line, or entirely or partially in-person.

Training material

At the end of the workshop, the slides and PowerPoint presentations will be delivered in electronic format to the attendees. During the workshop, web pages and useful links relating to the different parts of the programme will be provided, and used as a fundamental support for the practical activities and exercises.

Duration

12 hours. Upon request, it is possible to hold shorter workshops to explore one or more topics of the programme.
