Target

Researchers and professionals interested in deepening an approach considering gender differences, press and communication professionals, Third Sector operators (such as cooperatives, non-governmental organizations – NGOs, associations), social workers, medical and healthcare sector professionals, legal professionals, law enforcement, policy makers.

Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge on the fundamental gender issues to be addressed in professional and research activities in social sciences. The legal, social and ethical relevance of gender issues will be analyzed in depth, and practical activities will help participants focus on how to address them in their daily professional activities.

Part I - 1 day

– Fundamentals on common methodologies in social research, communication science, sociology, anthropology, philosophy and history. Analysis of gender differences
– Fundamental on the concept of “plural feminine”, and on Ethics issues and scientific methodology. Comparison among feminisms
– The importance of a clear and coherent Ethics approach
– Ethics from the women point of view
– Feminist Ethics
– Female Thinking: project planning
– Female Thinking: evaluation of a project

Part II - 1 day

– Coexistence of Feminine Ethics and Feminist Ethics: analysis of the feminine language
– Practical activity: how to read a feminine research project
– Practical activity: the “feminine” as added value
– Gender Issues evaluated and corrected
– Practical activity: the Ethics of gender Issues, comparison among situations
– Practical activity: plurality of the feminine universe

Training method

The workshop can be delivered both remotely/on line, or entirely or partially in-person.

Training material

At the end of the workshop, the slides and PowerPoint presentations will be delivered in electronic format to the attendees. During the workshop, web pages and useful links relating to the different parts of the programme will be provided, and used as a fundamental support for the practical activities and exercises.

Duration

12 hours. Upon request, it is possible to hold shorter workshops to explore one or more topics of the programme.
