The RE-TREAT Project at the European Society of Criminology Annual Conference

The RE-TREAT project has been officially presented at the annual European Society of Criminology (ESC) conference on the 11th September 2020. Owing to the Covid 19 situation, the conference (previously scheduled in Bucharest, Romania) has been held on line, for the first time since the creation of the ESC in 2000. The conference, supported by a great technological and organisational effort, had more than 700 participants, 405 accepted abstracts (and subsequent online presentations), 116 thematic panels and 30 ESC working groups.

The RE-TREAT project has been presented by Dr. Silvia Ciotti from EuroCrime, partner of the project, during the Panel 48 organised by the ESC working group on Victimology. Dr. Ciotti presented the aim and the main goals of the project, the partnership, the methodology and the project expected outcomes.

During the ESC conference in 2021 (scheduled in Bucharest next September – https://www.eurocrim2021.com/) the first outcomes and results of the project will be presented, providing real-time insights in the RE-TREAT progress.
