In the context of MargIn project, EuroCrime is responsible of the scientific investigation aiming to collect information about the perception, expectations and conditions of insecurity for citizens. The research will be developed using a casual sample of 15.400 adult citizens living in the Italian territory, of Italian and foreign nationalities.

The Italian company Demetra Opinioni.net has been selected for the development of such scientific research after the implementation of a competitive negotiated procedure. EuroCrime’ staff went to Demetra’s headquarter in Venice on the 13th and the 14th July, in order to sign the contract and to decide the official date for the beginning of the survey (decided for the 18th July 2016). In that occasion 16 interviewers have been instructed about the scientific survey and about MargIn project. Demetra’s interviewers need to finish the interviews in 90 days from the official beginning of the survey and results will be used by the MargIn project to have an overview about the perception of insecurity.
